Reservation Policy.
We are open all year as your four-season oasis on the beautiful Bruce Peninsula!
Check-in: After 4:30 pm. If possible, please inform us of your expected arrival time by phone or email.
Check-out: Before 11:00 am.
Early check-in or Late check-out: As we are a home-based operation with limited staff, early check-in and/or late check-out is only possible by prior arrangement, and may incur additional charges as we would need to hire help. Kindly call to enquire and we will do our best to offer a solution. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Children under 12: Due to the nature of our property, kindly note that our B&B is reserved for well-behaved children aged 12+ years old. Arrangements for younger children are accommodated when reserving all rooms. Please phone us at +1 (519) 422-3304 concerning any reservations that include Guests under 12 years of age.
Deposits: In order to confirm your reservation, we require payment via eTransfer for the first night for each room booked (including applicable taxes). When booking within 30 days of check-in, we will take the entire amount of the reservation as deposit. When booking 6 nights or more, the deposit is half of the total amount due (including applicable taxes). Our cancellation and changes policy follows.
Cancellations and Changes: At Sauble Falls Bed and Breakfast, we have only three rooms, a short high season, and few holiday weekends to earn our living. As such, cancellations and changes can really adversely affect us. You see, unlike big hotels who oversell their rooms, at Sauble Falls, when you reserve a room(s) with us, we agree to turn away all other requests for your room(s). We do not double book our rooms.
Should you cancel or change your reservation less than 30 days before reservation check-in date, and we are not able to rebook your room(s) for your dates, your credit card on file will charged for the balance remaining for the entire reservation. We regret that this action is necessary and will do our best to re-book the rooms for you when possible. We value your business at Sauble Falls and thank you for your understanding.
Cancellations or changes made (and confirmed by email from us) more than 30 days before reservation check-in date: Your deposit less an administration fee of $28.25 (including applicable taxes) will be refunded either to the method of payment (i.e. credit card) or by gift voucher if desired.
Cancellations or changes due to weather: We recognize that Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate with our plans. We will issue a Voucher good for another visit only for those nights you are unable to drive here because of road closures according to the records kept at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation website. Vouchers have a 120 day expiration. No administration fee is charged for cancellations or changes due to weather.
Smoking/Vaping: Permitted outside only. Cigarette butts are to be placed in container provided on back deck or in the campfire pit. There is absolutely no smoking inside the house or in the hot tub.
Pets: We have two cats that live exclusively on our side of the house. We regret that we are not able to accommodate any other pets.
Parking: Complimentary Guest parking onsite. In season, we offer snowmobile and ATV parking as well as outdoor bike storage.
Outdoor Hot Tub: Closed during Summer (June-September). Complimentary Guest robes are provided. Please bring own slippers/sandals. Guests are invited to read the "Hot Tub Safety Rules" available on the premises to help us keep it safe and clean!
Canoe/Kayaks/SUPs: Guests staying with us have complimentary use our water equipment during their stay with us. All participants must complete and sign our rental and liability agreement. Please note that complimentary use of boats is available from 4:30pm-5:30pm only on day of check-in and is not available on the day of check-out. However, when staying more than one night, they are available from after breakfast until 5pm.
For the Record: This is not only a shared space but also our home. We have a zero-tolerance policy toward recreational drug use and excessive use of alcohol. Excessive is defined as the point at which behaviour interferes with the enjoyment of other Guests or the Hosts, and is determined at our sole discretion. Guests unable to comply with this policy will be asked to vacate immediately, and all fees for the entire reservation period will be immediately payable in full. We really hate to get technical, but your agreement to book with us indicates acceptance of these terms.
